WHO WE ARE

Stephanie’s Shepherds is partnering to build a world where at risk working breed dogs are rescued and placed in homes where they are loved and cared for. The vast majority of our dogs are slated for euthanasia in high kill shelters.

Working dogs, such as German Shepherds, Malinois, and Dutch Shepherds are often rehomed or dumped in shelters because owners are unable to provide for their unique needs. These dogs do not thrive in shelters settings yet make perfect pets.

We are a foster based rescue that rescues these at-risk dogs and places them in appropriate homes. Whether you are an active pet home or looking for a couch potato, we aim to make the perfect match

WHAT WE DO

— We Rescue

Dogs in our care come from a variety of places. These include owner surrenders, euthanasia lists at shelters, and rescue to rescue transfers.

— We Build Networks

We work together with local and nationwide shelters and rescues to support the cause. Good relationships are paramount to the mission.

— We Provide Care

Dogs that come into our rescue are provided medical care including: spay/neuter, vaccinations, and treatment for any health problems they arrive with.

— We Educate

When an owner would like to surrender a dog we make every attempt to educate and assist them in finding solutions. In many instances this assistance can keep a dog safely in the home they know.

— We Shelter

Our rescue is foster based and relies on the community to provide a soft landing spot for dogs in need. Dogs get the time to heal and decompress, living in a home, while waiting for an adopter.

— We Adopt

Finding a forever home is our ultimate mission. While in foster care our dogs evaluated and each nuance is learned. We take this information is used to match adopters to a dog that will fit everyone’s unique circumstance.
